Saturday is a great day to a fun photo shoot and the perfect day to test the Nikon D700 (Of course, someday is perfect to that!).
Setup above: 2 SB-800 + 1 580EXII (full power) shoot thru difuser umbrella high right her and sun behind left her.
Camera info: Nikon D700 | 24-70 (ƒ/2.8G) | ƒ/16.0 | ISO 200 | 1/250s — Handheld
Rodrigo’s girlfriend, Alexandra Pacher, was our model. We went to an old train station and could take some interesting shots. A lot of photographers from Rio do Sul and region use to take shots in that station. Therefore, we had the obligation of to take some unconventional photos. And we got it, I guess.
What about D700? It’s a amazing camera. Just one (or two) thing I disliked: the AF points are concentrated in the center of view, as ever all FF DSLR, and there aren’t cross points in the frame’s borders, like 1Ds Mk III.
Today was a boring like day. Every sunday is a boring day for me.
And today, as ever, I didn’t do anything interesting and the day was finishing in a couple of hours. At 8 pm, I thought: “Why not now”. And I finally decided to make a self-portrait. Yes, that’s me.
Setup: SB-800 inside 40×60 softbox (f/8) at left of camera and SB-800 with semi-collapsed silver umbrella at right of camera and a little bit behind me (f/8).
Camera info: Nikon D300 | 17-55 (ƒ/2.8D) | ƒ/13.0 | ISO 200 | 1/250s — Tripoded
I took this shot during a tour, yesterday. I was looking for a high key shot and I got it. But, I missed the composition.
And if you to ask me “why Did you do that?”, I’d answer: “I don’t know, maybe I’m losing my mind…” or “I should pay more attention to what I’m doing”.
I guess that I was wondering about light ratios and flash power and I didn’t pay attention to framing…I could figure it out, but it’s just a play shot and it isn’t all bad.
Setup: Sun at left and SB-800 (+1 EV) in silver umbrella at right. Triggered by built-in flash (-1 EV) in CLS mode.
Camera info: Nikon D300 | 85mm (ƒ/1.8D) | ƒ/5.6 | ISO 200 | 1/320 s — Handheld
